Leaving your dog at home while you are out at work is never ideal, but we aim to make it that little bit easier by providing an exceptional dog walking service that you can rely on. Our mission is to make each walk the highlight of your dog’s day and to help take away some of the daily anxiety you feel at leaving them behind.

Our bespoke dog walking service will give your dog something to look forward to every day. Dogs require physical and mental stimulation just like humans do, and if they have proper exercise on a daily basis, they are likely to be a more relaxed and calm dog. Some dog behavioural problems are linked to isolation, boredom and insufficient exercise and good quality dog walking will help you to have a happy, healthy and well balanced dog that will be a pleasure to be around when at home.

Whether you are looking for a daily, regular or occasional dog walking service we will visit you at your home to meet you and your dog to complete a free initial assessment to ensure all parties are entirely happy.

Whether you are unable to drive, have work commitments, your car is broken down or you simply don’t want pet hair in your own vehicle we have a specially designed, pet-friendly vehicle equipped with DEFRA approved air conditioned cages for the safe transportation of your beloved pet.

We can help with trips to the vet, groomers, taking and collecting from the kennels, moving house, or anywhere your pet needs transporting to…even one off special occasions like a wedding day photo call with your furry friend.

Our Pet Taxi is fully insured, air conditioned and customised to provide unparalleled safety and comfort as used by the Police and the Dog’s Trust.

A stress free alternative for your pet by caring for them in their own home environment which is both comforting for them and reassuring for you.

From a small pet to a small holding, we offer a variety of services tailored to your individual needs.
We can pop in to your home as often as required throughout the day to ensure your pet is well, administer any required medication, facilitate a comfort break, and of course give lots of love and affection.

This is an ideal service if you have a senior dog, or is recovering from illness or surgery or just needs gentle calmness and reassurance. Alternatively you may have a puppy that needs some extra playtime, cleaning up any accidents, light training, introducing to short walks or just re-assurance and cuddles.

We can also water plants, close curtains, collect post, turn lights on and off and put your bins out for collection during these visits should you require.

Whatever the reason for leaving your dog behind, Strutts for Mutts are here to help. We offer an in-house (at your home) one-to-one sitting service that gives you complete peace of mind while you are away knowing that your much loved pets and home are well cared for.

This is a practical and comforting alternative to kennels and boarding for the many dogs who may find being away from their home environment an upsetting or stressful experience. This is the kindest and best arrangement you can make for your dog while you’re away as they get to stay at home in their familiar environment following their normal routines. As an added bonus your home remains occupied with post being removed, lights on and curtains opened and closed.

Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise using nearly every muscle in the body in a non- weight bearing environment which relieves pressure on joints, reducing pain and encouraging a better range of movement. Hydrotherapy can help to improve cardiovascular stamina, muscle tone, circulation, and is helpful in aiding recovery from injury or surgery relieving pain, swelling and stiffness whilst improving general fitness and weight management.

The heated indoor pool creates an ideal environment for older, senior dogs and dogs in recovery from surgery or injury or young growing dogs diagnosed with developmental conditions in which to exercise safely especially during our often freezing cold North Yorkshire winters.

It isn’t reserved for just those dogs with problems as our own healthy Springer Spaniel ‘Bute’ will testify to, it is one of the most fun activities we do and is the only time we’ve known her to sleep right through dinner time!!!

Handmade artisan dog treats and biscuits with a difference. Hand crafted using the finest locally sourced healthy and wholesome ingredients using as many free range or organic ingredients as possible.

Our biscuits come in a variety of shapes and flavours, good for ‘walkies’, tasty training aids or the bedtime settling down biccie treat. What’s more as we can guarantee that they were hand baked in our own kitchen using 100% human grade ingredients, and tasted by our resident chief taster ‘Bute’, if you feel peckish out on a walk you can have a nibble too!
